Company Description
The Intelligent Policies group, part of the Network Security Management Products area, builds the capabilities that help customers understand, audit, and improve their security policies at scale. The Intelligent Policies Auditor team develops the backend services that analyze policies and traffic, detect gaps and risks, and deliver actionable guidelines to security administrators across Check Point's management products.
We are looking for a strong Backend Software Developer to join the team and take ownership of core services end to end, from design through production.
Job Description
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for the Policy Auditor, integrated with Check Point's Security Management products.
- Own features end to end: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring in production.
- Build data processing and analysis flows over security policies and logs, with a focus on correctness, performance, and scale.
- Integrate AI-based capabilities into the product where they add real value to policy analysis and recommendations.
- Collaborate with product, UI, and other R&D teams across the Network Security Management area to deliver complete features.
- Investigate and resolve complex production issues in distributed, multi-component systems.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Backend Software Developer.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java.
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or an equivalent degree.
- Experience with Linux and Git.
- Solid understanding of software design, data structures, and building scalable server-side systems.
- Team player with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership.
Advantages
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Experience with search or indexing engines such as Solr or Elasticsearch.
- Knowledge of networking and network security concepts, or familiarity with Check Point products.
- Experience integrating GenAI or LLM-based features into production services.
