IT Systems Team Lead

Description

The company is hiring an IT Systems Team Lead to lead the team that designs, operates, and modernizes the corporate IT infrastructure across datacenter and cloud. The team owns servers, storage, networking, Office 365, operating systems, and productivity tools, and drives automation and AI-assisted modernization. Hands-on leader: strong technical depth plus team management in a fast-paced, global environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and support the IT systems team; provide technical guidance and drive professional growth.
• Work with other departments to understand IT needs and align IT strategy with business vision.
• Continuously identify and implement process improvements, new technologies, and modern architectures.
• Manage and monitor endpoint, server, and storage infrastructure — hybrid, on-prem, and cloud.
• Ensure the highest levels of availability, reliability, and performance.
• Administer Office 365 and support deployment of global productivity tools.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain Windows, Linux, macOS, applications, and IT management tools.
• Act as the highest escalation point (Tier-3) for complex IT challenges.
• Practice security-conscious design, patching, and access control; perform regular IT audits.
• Adopt DevOps practices and AI tools to automate routine tasks and modernize infrastructure deployment.
• Stay current with industry trends, security best practices, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

Must-have skills:

• IT / Infrastructure team leadership — 4+ yrs leading teams; proven IT project delivery and tech integrations; prioritization and stakeholder management (18%)
• Microsoft infrastructure — Microsoft 365 admin (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Entra ID (IAM, SSO, RBAC), 5+ yrs (16%)
• PowerShell and/or Python scripting and automation (10%)
• VMware vSphere 6.x/7.x — installation, configuration, system design, 3+ yrs (10%)
• AWS — EC2, S3, Route53, FSx; IAM, VPCs, KMS security controls (10%)
• Hybrid cloud architecture — security controls, cloud security best practices, monitoring tools (8%)
• Infrastructure-as-Code — Terraform / CloudFormation (7%)
• OS mastery — Windows Server and Client, Linux distributions, macOS (6%)
• Endpoint management — Microsoft Intune + Jamf Pro for macOS (6%)
• Storage & backup — NAS/SAN (NetApp, QNAP, BlueXP), enterprise backup (5%)
• Security & audits — security-conscious design, patching, access control, regular IT audits (4%)

Nice-to-have skills:

• Commvault / Metallic backup (strong advantage)
• Physical servers, network, and datacenter maintenance lifecycle
• DevOps practices and AI tools for automation and infrastructure modernization
• Tier-3 escalation experience across a global organization
