Job Summary:
We are looking for a Material Planner oversees the procurement, storage, distribution, and inventory of materials required for manufacturing or operational processes. He will ensure that the supply chain runs efficiently and cost-effectively, maintaining stock levels while minimizing waste. The role involves planning, manage the inventory and day to day transactions, dealing with work orders, customer deliveries, ERP development and collaboration with other departments to meet production and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement material management strategies and policies
– Run the MRP and analyse the data.
– Forecast material requirements and ensure timely procurement.
– Manage inventory levels, stock rotation, and minimize obsolescence.
– Optimize supply chain processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
– Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching materials.
– Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
– Use inventory management systems to track and manage materials.
– Train and supervise material handling staff.
Essential Skills:
– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, curiosity, and attention to detail.
– 3-4 years of experience as a planner.
– Proficiency in supply chain management software %28Priority or similar%29.
– Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
– Leadership and team management capabilities.
– Knowledge of material handling and storage practices.
– Understanding of budgeting and cost control.
– Proficiency in using Excel functions %28pivot table, logical functions, lookup functions, etc…%29.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree Industrial engineering and management, logistics or a related field.
– Relevant work experience in material management or supply chain roles.
– Certifications such as APICS %28Association for Supply Chain Management%29 are advantageous.
