Physicist

Elbit Systems in Rehovot is looking for a Laser Physicist to join a multidisciplinary team developing high-power laser systems based on optical fibers. In this role you will:Lead the development of high-power laser systems based on optical fibers from concept phase through production and integrationDesign, develop and research fiber laser technologies and integrate them into multidisciplinary systemsDesign and build optical systems for physical experimentsPerform physical simulations and analytical modelingSupport serial production of fiber laser assembliesWork closely with multidisciplinary engineering and technology teams in an advanced R&D environment

Requirements:M.Sc. degree in Physics / Electro-Optics / Electrical EngineeringPh.D. in a relevant field - AdvantageExperience in electro-optics and relevant laboratory workBackground in lasers and optical systems development - AdvantageProgramming skills in Python and MATLABExcellent interpersonal skills, teamwork abilities, initiative, research leadership and independent working capabilities
