Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and validate robust financial logic and testing infrastructure, primarily using Python.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and code reviews to team members.
- Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to transform ambiguous requirements into clear, actionable functional specifications.
- Work with the team to establish and promote a culture of quality and engineering excellence.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring solutions are delivered effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in Python or a strong understanding of a similar hashmap-heavy dynamic language (e.g., JavaScript, Ruby, Perl).
- Experience working on product cores, engines, or infrastructure software is a strong advantage.
- Experience in environments with a low margin for error (e.g., embedded systems, medical applications) is a plus.
- Exposure to highly regulated industries such as fintech or medical systems is a strong advantage.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with AI. Claude is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with event streaming and messaging platforms such as Kafka.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
