Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role:

Forter is looking for a detail-oriented, responsible, and highly motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team. In this role, you will handle a range of accounts payable processes, including matching invoices against approved purchase orders, recording invoices,  tracking expenses, performing bank and credit card reconciliations, and processing expense reimbursements.

What you’ll be doing:

• Oversee daily accounts payable activities, including those noted below, for Forter Ltd. and its subsidiaries
• Receive AP invoices and process them into Zip and NetSuite
• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Collaborate with the Accounting team on daily tasks and the monthly close process, including fixed assets and prepaid expenses
• Monitor corporate payment tools (Zip CC, Mesh, credit cards), review and process employee travel and expense reimbursement reports, ensuring accuracy, policy compliance, and timely processing
• Verify and investigate vendor discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
• Manage the AP aging and Employees aging reports on a monthly basis
• Manage Fixed assets module including purchases and disposals.
• Handling Israeli VAT reporting and performing periodic VAT reconciliations
• Support audit requests as needed
• Support ad hoc accounting projects as needed

What you’ll need:

Required:

• Certified Bookkeeper (Type 2 or higher)
• 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience, including experience in the high-tech industry
• Strong verbal and written English skills
• Strong Excel skills (including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis)
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Be able to Work Independently and as Part of the Team

* Preferred: Experience working with NetSuite, Mesh, Expensify, P2P - Zip
