The Role

As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You’ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients – which means some of the biggest in the world. There’s never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You’ll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You’ll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients. Who You Are

Role Overview

Responsible for the administration, maintenance, monitoring, and security of the organization's IT infrastructure, combining system administration, network operations, and information security responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

System Administration & Active Directory

• Manage and maintain Active Directory environments, including Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for workstations and servers.
• Configure and maintain system policies to ensure security, consistency, and operational efficiency.

Automation & Scripting

• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks, generate reports, and improve operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and infrastructure optimization.

Network Administration

• Manage and maintain LAN and WAN environments, including network switches and connectivity infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot network issues to ensure availability, stability, and performance.

Network & Information Security

• Install, configure, and manage Network Access Control (NAC) solutions.
• Administer firewall policies and security rules across different environments.
• Manage Antivirus and Extended Detection and Response (XDR) solutions to support endpoint protection and threat detection.

Logging & Monitoring

• Configure and maintain centralized Syslog solutions for collecting and managing logs from multiple environments.
• Install, configure, and maintain monitoring tools for network devices, servers, and IT infrastructure.
• Monitor system health, network performance, and security events to support proactive issue detection and resolution.

Infrastructure Operations

• Troubleshoot system, network, and security-related incidents.
• Support infrastructure availability, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to maintain and improve infrastructure operations.
