EO Solutions Engineer

Description

Orbit Communication Systems is seeking a Senior EO Solutions Engineer to lead and manage advanced engineering projects, focusing on the development and implementation of innovative electro-optical solutions.
Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of electro-optical systems and components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and alignment with company goals.
• Conduct detailed technical analysis and testing to validate system performance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Coordinate with clients to understand their requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Prepare and present technical reports and project updates to stakeholders.

Responsibilites

• Engage with customers to understand mission objectives, operational concepts, technical constraints, and desired outcomes.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into practical ground segment and mission-support solution concepts.
• Develop technical solutions involving ground stations, tracking systems, RF subsystems, software applications, and supporting infrastructure.
• Support proposals, compliance matrices, customer presentations, system descriptions, and solution documentation.
• Participate in customer meetings, technical reviews, demonstrations, workshops, testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities.
• Investigate operational anomalies, signal characteristics, RF performance, mission workflows, and system performance issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in electro-optical systems engineering.
• Proven track record of leading engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Strong understanding of optical design software and simulation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and project assessments.
