Join Lumia, backed by Team8 and NewEra, and help us solve the next generation of AI security challenges at scale. Our product combines AI, security, high-performance networking and distributed systems.
You'll design and build core services across our platform, and your networking and infrastructure experience will help us build fast, reliable and secure systems.

What you'll do
- Design, build and own backend services and microservices across the Lumia platform
- Work on network-facing components, including proxies and traffic handling, with a focus on performance, reliability and security
- Help shape our architecture, infrastructure and cloud deployment
- Debug and optimize complex systems, from application code down to the network level
- Work closely with product and research to turn AI security ideas into production features

Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on software development, preferably in Go
- Strong experience with microservices and cloud-native applications
- Background in high-scale, low-latency distributed systems with a focus on performance
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, L4-L7, DNS, HTTP/1.1, HTTP/2 and TLS
- Hands-on experience building or extending proxies (forward, reverse or transparent) or other traffic-handling services
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud networking (VPCs, load balancers)
- Quick learner who does well in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership
- A positive team player
Advantages
- Experience with Envoy, NGINX, HAProxy, Squid or similar proxy technologies
- Background in network security products such as SASE/SSE, SWG, firewalls, IPS/IDS or CASB
- Experience with TLS inspection, certificate handling or encrypted traffic analysis
- Low-level networking experience: Linux kernel networking, eBPF, iptables/nftables
- AI and LLM experience, with an understanding of real-world applications
- Event-driven architecture experience (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS)
- Understanding of security best practices and compliance for cloud systems
