About the Role
We’re looking for exceptional engineers with a builder’s mindset. You’ll tackle complex engineering challenges while owning the experience we deliver to our users - from deeply understanding how clinical and operations teams work to turning those insights into products they love. You’ll work across engineering, product, and customer success to take ideas from concept to production and help our customers get the most value from Popai.
What You'll Do
- Take end-to-end ownership, from idea to production. Work closely with product and design, ship frequently, learn from feedback, and continuously improve the product.
- Make thoughtful architectural decisions across the stack, balancing speed with scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Partner with AI engineers to turn cutting-edge AI capabilities into reliable, high-quality product experiences.
- Push the boundaries of our R&D AI-native development by unlocking breakthrough capabilities with coding agents across the development lifecycle.
- Be an engineer who thinks product. As coding agents redefine engineering, go beyond implementation to deeply understand our customers, shape the product and UX, and take an active role in deciding what we build and why.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Experience: 5+ years of full-stack development experience with strong backend depth in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Core Tech: Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL, Express.js, React, and TypeScript.
- System Design: Solid understanding of event-driven architectures, real-time communication (WebSockets), and distributed systems concepts (idempotency, fault tolerance).
- DevOps & Cloud: Hands-on experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
- Mindset: A builder’s ownership mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
