Description
Quantum Machines is a global leader in quantum computing control systems. Our hardware and software for instruction-based quantum control are changing how quantum computers are built and operated, and we work with the most advanced quantum labs and companies in the world. As the field scales, we are building a team that shapes where quantum technology goes next.
About the role
We are looking for a senior Product Operations Manager to build the operating system behind our product organization. Our customer base, our Product teams, and our R&D are growing fast, and the processes that connect them — roadmap planning, release and launch, customer feedback, prioritization, enablement — need an owner who can design them, run them, and prove they are working with the product team leaders.
This is a build role, not a maintenance role. In collaboration with the Product stakeholders, you will define how product decisions are made and measured at QM, and become the person people trust for accurate, reliable insight into the operations behind our products and versions.
What you'll do
- Own product metrics and performance reporting. Define and build the product OKRs and KPIs, keep them current, and run the reporting cadence on them - quarterly business reviews, monthly performance snapshots, and the analysis that explains why a number moved, not just that it did.
- Measure the process itself. Track delivery predictability, cycle time, intake throughput and launch readiness, surface where the process is failing, suggest and implement processes to fix as lesson learned.
- Run the product processes. Owns the roadmap process together with the Product teams, the release and launch cycle, prioritization mechanics, and the readiness gate that decides when something is fit to ship.
- Close the feedback loop. Build a single intake for the voice of the customer - from CS, Support, Sales and the field - and turn it into a prioritized, traceable input to the roadmap instead of scattered requests.
- Instrument adoption. Stand up product adoption and feature-usage measurement, so we know what customers actually use, and feed that back into roadmap and enablement decisions.
- Own the product enablement content system. Ensure internal and external training material, launch communication, and the materials that let CS, Support and Sales speak accurately about what we ship exist, are accurate, and stay current — authored by the relevant domain experts to a defined standard and schedule.
- Hold the interfaces. Own the handoffs and information flow between R&D, Marketing and Sales, so launches don't depend on individual heroics.
- Drive NPI and product catalog. Operate the new product introduction process end to end, from readiness criteria through launch and post-launch review.
Requirements
5+ years in product operations, product management, business operations or a comparable role in a technology company, including ownership of cross-functional processes end to end.
A track record of designing a process from scratch, getting people to adopt it, and showing the result in numbers.
Experience building and running a performance reporting cadence for a leadership audience - you can turn a set of metrics into a short narrative that stands up to questioning.
Strong data instincts: comfortable defining metrics, building dashboards, and working with tools like Jira, Confluence, Salesforce and BI or warehouse data.
Excellent written communication. Much of this role is making complex product information clear to people who weren't in the room.
The judgment to work with senior stakeholders across R&D, Product, Marketing and Sales, and the persistence to close loops that others leave open.
Nice to have
Background in physics, engineering or another technical field, or experience supporting a deep-tech or hardware-plus-software product.
Experience with product analytics and usage instrumentation.
Exposure to quantum computing, scientific instrumentation or advanced R&D environments.
