Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex, software-based and multidisciplinary projects in the defense sector.
The role involves managing projects throughout their entire lifecycle—from initiation and planning through execution, delivery, and closure—while ensuring the achievement of business, technical, financial, schedule, and customer objectives.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing technology and product development projects within software-intensive companies, defense organizations, or other multidisciplinary engineering environments.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple high-budget security projects simultaneously, ensuring they meet scope, timeline, and budget requirements.
- Oversee projects at different life cycle stages, from initiation to closure.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
- Ensure all aspects of project management are addressed, including business, administrative, financial, and technical requirements.
- Negotiate with stakeholders to resolve conflicts and achieve project goals.
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues to senior management.
- Maintain excellent human relations and ensure high levels of service orientation and productivity.
- Foster a creative and solution-oriented environment to address project challenges.
- Travel within Israel to meet with customers and suppliers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – required.
- At least 5 years of experience managing complex projects in software-intensive, technology, or product development companies – required.
- Proven experience managing projects that involve software development, systems integration, or multidisciplinary technological products.
- Experience working in a matrix organization with cross-functional engineering and business teams.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, project methodologies, and project management tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, stakeholders, and interfaces simultaneously.
- Proven experience in managing project budgets, schedules, risks, dependencies, and customer deliverables.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
- High level of ownership, service orientation, and commitment to delivering results.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, complex, and fast-paced environment.
Experience in one or more of the following environments is highly relevant:
- Defense and aerospace
- Software and technology companies
- Automotive and mobility
- Robotics and autonomous systems
- Industrial automation
- Embedded and real-time systems
- Complex multidisciplinary product development
- Experience in the defense sector and in managing projects for international customers is an advantage.
