Senior Native Mobile Developer (Android & iOS)

Build the next chapter of BUYME mobile.

At BUYME, we help people make each other happy through gifts and experiences. We're bringing mobile development in-house and looking for a senior developer to join our R&D team and take hands-on ownership of our Android and iOS apps.

You'll work on an existing product, shape its technical direction and build the practices behind our in-house mobile development. This is an end-to-end role: from understanding the codebase and making architecture decisions to shipping features and keeping the apps reliable in production.

What you'll do

●    Own native development across Android (Kotlin) and iOS (Swift) - from feature work to production stability.

●    Take technical ownership of our existing apps: understand the codebase, make architecture decisions, and document the system for long-term maintainability.

●    Define what data and endpoints you need from our backend API, collaborate with the backend team to spec them, and own everything from the API response through to the user's screen.

●    Work with Product, Design and Backend teams to turn ideas into features, from planning through release.

●    Handle real-world API integration: JWT authentication, API responses, payment flows, offline states, timeouts, and error recovery.

●    Proactively monitor app stability, resolve production crashes, optimize performance, and keep dependencies up to date.

●    Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Fastlane and GitHub Actions — automated builds, distribution to testers via TestFlight and Firebase App Distribution, and submissions to the stores.

●    Manage app submissions, store listings, release cycles, certificates, and app store compliance on Apple App Store Connect and Google Play Console.

Requirements

What you bring

●    Hands-on experience with App Store Connect, Google Play Console, app signing/certificates, and privacy compliance.

●    Proven experience developing and shipping production native apps on both Android and iOS.

●    Strong hands-on skills in Kotlin and Swift, with a solid understanding of each platform's tools, app lifecycle and design guidelines.

●    Experience integrating REST APIs, working with asynchronous code, local storage and push notifications.

●    A strong grasp of mobile architecture, memory management, debugging and performance tuning.

●    The ability to understand, maintain and improve an existing codebase without compromising product stability.

●    Experience with Git, testing and mobile release workflows, with attention to accessibility and secure handling of user data.

●    The judgment and independence to own technical decisions, prioritize work and communicate clearly across teams.

Nice to have

●    Experience with SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose.

●    Experience with crash reporting, analytics, deep links and automated mobile testing.

●    Experience with consumer apps, e-commerce or purchase and payment flows.

●    Experience taking over outsourced development, setting up engineering practices or mentoring developers.
