Description
We're looking for a bookkeeper to join Team8's finance team for a 6-month engagement. It's a great opportunity to build hands-on experience in a fast-moving venture capital environment, working closely with our Head Bookkeeper and the broader finance team.
This is a temporary, 6-month contract with an option for permanent hire.
What you'll do
- Record day-to-day transactions and manage the posting process
- Prepare and manage monthly payments
- Review and record supplier invoices
- Bring the books to trial balance stage
- Perform periodic reconciliations (bank, credit cards, etc.)
- Prepare materials for the annual external audit
- Manage corporate credit cards - monitor transactions, verify receipts, allocate and record expenses
- Handle employee expense reimbursements, including travel reports
- Support ongoing finance activities and ad-hoc projects
Requirements
What we're looking for?
- Level 1-2 bookkeeping diploma
- 1-2+ years of experience in bookkeeping / AP-AR
- Familiarity with NetSuite- a strong advantage
- Solid Excel skills
- Good English (written and spoken)
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented, organized, and a strong work ethic
