Validation and Testing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Validation and Testing Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and accuracy of our Data Products. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in test planning, validation methodologies, and test automation, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.

What will your job look like:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Data Engineers, fostering technical excellence and professional development.
• Serve as a Hands-On Team Leader, actively contributing to architecture, design, development, and code reviews.
• Own the end-to-end delivery of complex Data Engineering projects, from requirements and design through production deployment and operational support.
• Design, build, and optimize large-scale data pipelines and distributed data processing systems.
• Drive the evolution of our cloud-based data platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Data Science, and Analytics teams to deliver robust data solutions.
• Work with modern big data technologies including distributed processing frameworks, data lakes, metadata management systems, and cloud-native services.
• Establish engineering best practices, operational excellence, and high-quality development standards across the team.
• Lead technical decision-making and serve as a key subject matter expert within the Data organization.

All you need Is:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience building and operating large-scale data platforms and infrastructure.
• Proven experience designing and implementing complex data pipelines in production environments.
• Strong expertise in Python, including data processing frameworks and libraries such as Pandas.
• Deep understanding of Data Engineering, Data Infrastructure, Data Architecture, and Analytics ecosystems.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and distributed data processing systems.
• Hands-on experience with modern big data technologies such as Apache Flink, Data Lakes, Metadata Management solutions, and large-scale processing frameworks.
• Proven experience leading technical projects from concept to production deployment.
• Prior experience leading or mentoring engineers, either as a Team Lead, Tech Lead, or Engineering Manager.
• Strong ownership mentality with the ability to drive execution in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience with containerized environments and Kubernetes-based architectures.
