Job Description

A key contributor to the development, research, and integration of advanced laser and electro-optical systems, from the initial development stages through proof of concept in both laboratory and operational environments.

The role combines physical modeling, system development, hands-on laboratory work, and solving complex engineering challenges with a broad system-level perspective.

Key Responsibilities

• Research & Development: Design, characterize, and model physical processes in laser-based technologies and complex systems.

• Laboratory Integration: Lead experiments, calibrations, and testing in an electro-optical laboratory.

• Troubleshooting & Analysis: Independently investigate complex physical and system-level failures, identify root causes, and implement engineering solutions.

• System-Level Perspective & Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including Mechanical, Hardware, Software, and Systems Engineering, from the concept stage through product maturity.

Requirements

• Education: M.Sc. in Physics, Applied Physics, or Electro-Optical Engineering. Ph.D. is a significant advantage.

• Proven hands-on experience working in an electro-optical laboratory, including working with laser sources, precision optics, and diagnostic and measurement equipment.

• Strong ability to work independently, think creatively, and tackle unresolved physics-related challenges and complex troubleshooting scenarios.

• Broad system-level understanding of systems combining optics, mechanics, and electronics.

• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, initiative, technological curiosity, and a high level of personal responsibility.
