Senior Cyber Security Engineer

VPG is a global leader in precision measurement sensing technologies, helping make cars, planes, medical equipment, and consumer products safer and smarter. 

We're looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to be the most senior hands-on member of our global security team. You'll own our core security platforms, lead the response to major incidents, and test our defenses by attacking them. We need someone who is effective from day one, self-driven, and calm under pressure.

• Platform ownership: firewalls, NAC, IT/OT segmentation, Okta and privileged access, cloud/SaaS and enterprise AI tools, and OT security across our global sites. All work aligns with ISO 27001 and NIST 800-171. 
• Incidents and offensive security: act as the final escalation point for high-severity incidents and lead them to end. Build detections and SOAR playbooks. Lead red and purple team exercises and internal pentests based on MITRE ATT&CK and manage external testing vendors. 
• Guidance: mentor SOC analysts and serve as the security expert on IT and business projects. 

Requirements

• 5+ years in cyber security, including 3+ at a senior level in incident response or offensive security 
• Proven experience leading real breach responses and red or purple teamwork 
• Strong background in Windows/AD, Linux, and networking 
• Hands-on experience with FortiGate, Okta, EDR, NG-SIEM, and forensics tools 
• Scripting in Python and PowerShell - An Advantage!
• AI security experience: securing enterprise AI and LLM tools, and using AI in security operations 
• Self-learner who picks up new technologies independently 
• Organized, with strong communication and vendor management skills 
• Available for a compensated on-call rotation 
• Fluent Hebrew and English

OT/ICS security, M365/Azure security, and certifications such as CISSP, Fortinet NSE, or Microsoft SC-200/AZ-500.
