Software Team Leader (Defense)

Description

We are looking for a strong Software Team Leader/Tech Lead, to lead a team of 6-8 developers working on mission-critical operational systems.

mPrest is a leading technology company developing advanced mission-critical systems for defense, HLS, and industrial sectors.

This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of core operational systems, lead a talented development team, and drive modernization through web technologies and AI-driven development practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 6-8 software developers and QA engineers.
• Own development activities end-to-end, including delivery, quality, technical execution, and production support.
• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions using C#/.NET and web/WPF technologies.
• Provide technical leadership, architecture input, code reviews, and troubleshooting support.
• Work closely with customers, product teams, system engineers, QA, and other stakeholders.
• Build and promote an AI-driven development pipeline, including AI-assisted coding, testing, documentation, and code review.
• Improve development processes, engineering standards, automation, and team efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sofrware Team Leader, or senior technical lead.
• Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET.
• Experience with WPF/.NET systems — advantage.
• Experience with mission-critical or operational systems — significant advantage.
• Strong technical leadership, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and communicate effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Interest or experience in AI-assisted development tools — advantage.
