We are looking for a Systems Engineer for laser based designation, marking and EO laser systems to join our multidisciplinary R&D team at our Rehovot site.The position involves working on cutting edge laser technologies and integrating them into advanced multi disciplinary systems
Responsibilities:System definition, requirements management, technical reviews, integration, validation and transition from development to production in the field of laser based electro optical systemsSystem performance analysis, simulations, tradeoff studies, laboratory experiments and field testsTechnical leadership of multi disciplinary development teams (optics, lasers, mechanics, electronics)Involvement in multidisciplinary R&D processes including design, development and characterization of laser systems (solid state and fiber) RequirementsB.Sc. in Electro Optics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or PhysicsM.Sc. – advantage (for Physics candidates M.Sc. is a must)At least 3 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or 5 years of experience in a multi disciplinary R&D environment involving lasersKnowledge and experience in optics and laser technologies (solid state and fiber lasers)Experience in development processes including requirements allocation, technical reviews, integration, validation and transition to productionExperience leading multi disciplinary technical development activitiesExperience in simulations – advantageFamiliarity with Systems Engineering tools – advantageExperience in high power pulsed DPSS lasers or high power fiber lasers – advantageSelf learning ability, initiative, creativity and strong leadership skillsHigh proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)Experience working with foreign and international clients – advantageWillingness to travel abroad
