תיאור המשרה

 Key Responsibilities

· Design and develop new precision
mechanical parts, assemblies, mechanisms, housings, brackets, adapters, and
interfaces for advanced multidisciplinary systems.

· Adapt and improve existing mechanical
systems according to customer requirements, operational needs, production
feedback, cost targets, and product evolution needs.

· Develop mechanical solutions for delicate
assemblies requiring tight tolerances, alignment accuracy, manufacturability,
serviceability, reliability, and design-to-cost balance.

· Support opto-mechanical design
activities, including mechanical interfaces for optical payloads, sensors,
lenses, mounts, alignment features, and stabilized assemblies.

· Drive design improvements, including
simplification of parts, reduction of manufacturing complexity, cost reduction,
improved assembly flow, tolerance optimization, and enhanced product
robustness.

· Create and maintain 3D models, 2D
manufacturing drawings, tolerance definitions, BOMs, assembly documentation,
and engineering change documentation.

· Design jigs, fixtures, test adapters,
assembly tools, and integration aids that support production, integration,
testing, and product validation.

· Work closely with electro-optics,
electronics, system engineering, integration, production, QA, procurement, and
subcontractor teams to ensure mechanical compatibility, manufacturability, and
successful system integration.

· Support prototype manufacturing, supplier
communication, production readiness, drawing release, DTC analysis, and
resolution of mechanical issues during build and integration.

· Participate in design reviews, tolerance
discussions, manufacturability reviews, integration reviews, failure
investigations, and corrective-action processes.

Requirements

Mandatory

· At least 3 years of experience in
mechanical design, with a strong focus on precision mechanics, delicate
assemblies, mechanisms, or multidisciplinary mechanical systems.

· Strong experience using mechanical CAD
tools for 3D modeling, 2D drawings, assemblies, and production documentation.

· Good understanding of mechanical
tolerance analysis, fits, materials, manufacturing processes, machining, sheet
metal, surface treatments, assembly methods, and manufacturability
considerations.

· Experience designing new mechanical
systems as well as adapting or improving existing products and assemblies.

· Understanding of design-to-cost, design
for manufacturability, design for assembly, production optimization, and design
improvement processes.

· Ability to prepare clear manufacturing
drawings, assembly drawings, BOMs, design documentation, and engineering change
documentation.

· Ability to support prototype builds,
supplier discussions, integration activities, production feedback, and
corrective design updates.

· Ability to work effectively with
multidisciplinary teams, including electro-optics, electronics, integration,
production, QA, procurement, and subcontractors.

· Practical, independent, detail-oriented
approach with strong problem-solving abilities.

· Good written and verbal English skills.

Advantages

· High priority: experience in
opto-mechanical design, including optical payloads, sensors, lenses, mounts,
alignment mechanisms, stabilized systems, or electro-optical assemblies.

· Experience in development of new
mechanical products from concept through detailed design, production release,
and validation.

· Experience adapting existing products to
new operational, customer, environmental, or production requirements.

· Experience in defense, aerospace,
electro-optics, robotics, UAV, Counter-UAS, surveillance, or mission-critical
systems.

· Experience designing mechanical
interfaces for electronics, PCBs, connectors, harness routing, heat
dissipation, sealing, vibration, shock, or environmental conditions.

· Familiarity with configuration
management, ECO processes, production files, supplier documentation, and
release-to-production processes.

· Practical Engineer or B.Sc. in Mechanical
Engineering or a related technical field.

What We Offer

· A mechanical design role focused on
developing new systems and improving existing precision mechanical and
electro-optical products.

· Direct involvement in the full mechanical
development cycle, from concept and detailed design to production release,
integration, testing, and field validation.

· Close technical collaboration with
electro-optics, electronics, integration, production, QA, procurement,
suppliers, and subcontractors.

· Opportunity to influence opto-mechanical
design, precision assemblies, DTC, manufacturability, fixtures, production
readiness, and design improvement processes.

· A dynamic environment that values precise
engineering, attention to detail, manufacturable design, cost-aware
development, and continuous design improvement.
