Mechanical Engineer for UAV propulsion systems development

We are looking forFor our company site in Modiin, Aerospace Division is looking for a Mechanical Engineer for UAV propulsion systems development. Join us in developing some of the world’s most advanced unmanned systems and take part in impactful defense projects with international significance. In this role, you will join a multidisciplinary team focused on the development and optimization of advanced propulsion systems, working with innovative technologies, complex experiments, and interfaces in Israel and abroad
In this role you willDevelop advanced propulsion systems with emphasis on internal combustion engines for aerospace and military applicationsPerform system characterization, define technical requirements, and lead design activities in complex projectsConduct performance analysis, simulations, and optimization using engineering computational toolsPlan and lead experiments, verification tests, and validation activities according to relevant requirements and standardsAnalyze test results, investigate failures, and lead engineering solutionsDevelop solutions to improve performance, reliability, and robustness of propulsion systems under challenging environmental conditionsWork closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, customers, suppliers, and partners in Israel and abroad
RequirementsB.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace EngineeringM.Sc. degree or academic publications in the field - AdvantageAt least 5 years of experience in the design of dynamic systems for aerospace or military applicationsExperience working with internal combustion engines - AdvantageKnowledge in strength analysis, fluid dynamics, and heat transferProficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools such as Matlab and PythonExperience with Wave-Ricardo, aerospace background, or familiarity with military and aerospace standards - AdvantageHigh level of Hebrew and English, with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating analytical thinking and complex problem-solving skills
